Our SY2/SY3 students were invited to participate in the «SpielPolitik!» in the Federal Palace in Berne. 

In simulated parliamentary group and commission meetings in the Politforum Käfigturm and a big debate in the National Council chamber, our students actively engaged in the art of debate and voted on conceived popular initiatives, together with three other classes from all over Switzerland. Through a playful but realistic process, the young people experienced «hands on» how the Swiss political system works and how new laws are created. They honed their skills in presenting well-structured arguments supported by factual evidence and relevant examples. Our students gained a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind political decision-making and the importance of persuasive communication in the democratic process and developed a newfound appreciation for the complexities of governance. They realized that political decisions impact their lives directly and understood the power they hold as informed citizens.
