IB World School Accreditation

Successful accreditation is true evidence of quality for an academic institution and highly valued recognition of the overall standards of teaching and learning within that organisation. The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) is one of the world’s most prominent international accreditation organisations.

The International Baccalaureate offers a continuum of international education. The programmes encourage both personal and academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and in their personal development. The accreditation process is both rigorous and comprehensive, and aimed at not only affirming current practice, but also providing a framework for on-going development and improvement.

Ipso! International School is proud to be officially accredited by the IBO as an IB World School since November 2015 to run the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) bilingually (English/German) for students from 3 to 12 years of age. The letter of authorisation confirms that ipso! International School meets all IB requirements in accordance with the rules for IB World Schools. Ipso! International School is now part of a global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring young people, who will be ready to shape their futures successfully and make contributions resulting in a more harmonious and peaceful world. The International Baccalaureate (IB) is more than its educational programmes and certificates. At its heart it is motivated by a mission to create a better world through education; and we are devoted to help achieve this mission.

The significant benefits of the IB PYP for the students:

  • Be encouraged to think independently and drive their own learning.
  • Take part in programmes of education that can lead them to some of the highest ranking universities around the world.
  • Raise awareness of different cultures, through the development of a second language.
  • Be able to cooperate internationally in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world.
