Early Childhood Center - full-day care
We offer an Early Childhood Center at nursery level for children aged 1,5 to 4. The languages spoken are German and English, the same as in preschool and school lessons. We are also happy to integrate children who have no previous knowledge of these languages.
Depending on your professional situation and your personal needs, we can offer your child full-day care or part-time care for at least five mornings (07. 30 – 14.00) or two full days (07.30 – 18.00) plus one morning (07. 30 – 14.00) per week. Earlier pick-up is possible by arrangement at certain timeslots but this does not affect the price.
Our very playful, early childhood, one-on-one, multilingual support is based on the educational concept of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) for children aged 3 to 12. We are an accredited IB World School. We lay age-appropriate foundations for this in children aged 1.5 to 4.
We take into account the different stages of development and respond to particular gifts and talents in groups of no more than 12 children, each of which has 2 teachers. We set great store by a loving environment for learning and play, with a family atmosphere. We offer our students a home-from-home during the day. The trusting relationship between child and teachers and regular communication with parents is particularly important to us when it comes to caring for and educating our youngest students. The same applies to the development of bilingual language skills and the increasing independence of the children. The children are encouraged to ask questions and learn by experimenting so that they can perceive the world independently, respectfully and with a thirst for knowledge when they are older.
Daily routines include bilingual singing, songs with actions, use of small instruments, listening to stories, role-play and age-appropriate art activities such as crafts and painting in order to stimulate the children’s creativity, fine and gross motor skills, as well as their language and social skills. Free play in the garden and the beautiful Rheinfelden parks, as well as occasional trips to the forest, exciting day trips and participation in school performances are further highlights of the ipso! International School day for our lucky little adventurers.
