  Our school's bilingual preschool offers a wide range of options for the optimal development of each child. The complete International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) taught through the teaching medium of the English and German languages can only be offered in the full-day structure. However, the compulsory hours of the local school system are already covered by five half-days (morning sessions every day, as far as possible). Children who complete their compulsory hours in state preschool can receive two half-days of additional support with us.

  Our teaching concept is based on the globally recognised and binding guidelines of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme IB PYP. 

Admissions usually take place in August and February, but admission is possible at any time by arrangement with the school management. 

Part-day care

Morning: 08.00 – 12.00/13.00
and/or
Afternoon: 12.00/13.00 – 16.00

At least 4 mornings plus 2 afternoons or 5 mornings plus 1 afternoon have to be booked.  

Early Drop-off

We can also look after your child daily from 07.30 am. You can book this offer for the entire school year or according to your needs.

After School Care

Would you like us to look after your child after school hours? Various options are available: for the entire school year or, depending on your situation, just a few hours longer at specific days. After School Care is available daily until 18.00 pm. 

Please find the detailed prices in the registration form for additional services. These services will be billed separately.

The children can enjoy a well-balanced, healthy and age-appropriate lunch with us, freshly prepared every day by the established catering company “Zaraz” in Rheinfelden. 

Zaraz has been awarded the “Fourchette Verte” certificate several times. Special nutritional needs are taken into account wherever possible. At the future Bahnhofstrasse 26 location in Rheinfelden (from summer 2020), it will be possible for children to use the microwave to heat up food they have brought with them as soon as they can use it for themselves. 

Alternatively, cold lunches can be brought along, as well as healthy snacks for the breaktimes in the morning and afternoon, if the children are at school all day. 

Lunch is charged at CHF 10.00 and can be booked for a quarter with the registration form for additional services that can be found at Early Drop-Off/After School Care. These services will be billed separately.

Transfer to ipso! International School Primary School or to Year 1 of primary school in the local state school system. 

School Fees, Preschool - Part-time place

The school fees cover lessons and school materials.

Half-days

Morning: 08.00 - 13.00
Afternoon: 13.00 - 16.00 (After School Activities or/and Clubs are not included in the price, have to be booked separately)

Paying by instalments

Example school fees: 6 half-days per week

• 2 instalments per school year of CHF 6'672.00 incl. CHF 20.00 surcharge
• 12 instalments per school year of CHF 1'129.00 incl. CHF 20.00 surcharge

Payment terms

• The registration fee is due when registering. 
• The annual fees will be invoiced pro rata if the student starts school during the year.

Family and company discounts

With the family or company discount, the 2nd and each additional registered child receives a 10% reduction on school fees.     

ipso! International School is a private school. In accordance with cantonal regulations, school fees or childcare costs are often – at least partly – tax-deductible. Please check this with the tax office in your place of residence as the regulations in this regard vary from canton to canton.

Holiday Calendar of the ipso! International School

ipso! International School offers holiday camps for the supervision of children during the school holidays. This service is greatly appreciated by and popular with working parents. 

Fun and games are the main focus of the entertaining programme: this includes plenty of time spent outdoors, with exercise, creative and artistic activities, picnics, baking or cooking, projects, small experiments, water games, sports, dance, yoga, listening to stories, treasure hunts and trips to the nearby forest and the beautiful parks along the Rhine. Depending on the age group, there are also trips to the zoo or visits to exhibitions and museums.
